The EuroLics network brings together researchers who link innovation and competence building to inclusive and sustainable development. We envision that issues will be tackled from two main directions. First, research on how innovation and competence building contribute to inclusive and sustainable development and redevelopment within Europe. Second, research on how innovation and learning contribute to development outside Europe. A basic assumption behind the formation of the EuroLics network is that innovation systems perspectives contribute to the design and implementation of more inclusive and sustainable development policies and strategies within and outside Europe.
The objective of EuroLics is to build research capacity where this capacity is lacking and to contribute to knowledge infrastructure in regions where interdisciplinary capabilities necessary for innovation related research are scarce. A core priority is to give young scholars from the least developed regions within Europe easier access to global research resources.
